For us, this is primarily about strengthening our ability to bring Millum’s solutions into a broader European market. Over many years, we have built what is now the largest procurement system for hotels, restaurants, and canteens in the Nordics. By merging with cisbox, we gain access to new expertise, technology, and markets that will allow us to accelerate the development of our platform and bring our innovative digital procurement solution to more parts of Europe,” says Bjørn Anskau, CEO of Millum

Largest digital procurement system in the Nordics

More than 18 000 users rely on Millum's e-procurement solutions every day. The platform connects over 450 suppliers with more than 90 major purchasing organizations, providing customers with better control over purchasing, product costs, and operations.

Millum’s goal has always been to make everyday work easier for its customers.

We’ve built a strong position by working closely with our customers and developing solutions that genuinely simplify daily operations in kitchens and facilities. Now we want to bring that experience into Europe. Our strategy has been to grow into new markets with existing customers, which we have done throughout the Nordics. We are now receiving requests related to markets outside the region and even outside the hospitality sector, and this move is a strategic step to both continue serving our customers across Europe – but also expanding into new sectors. For our existing and future customers, it may also mean access to greater resources for faster development of the platform, more integrations, and even better data to efficiently manage the P2P process to increase profitability.

United under the same ownership

Main Capital Partners (“Main”) which specialises in developing and scaling European software companies, will continue to hold a majority stake in the combined group. By bringing Millum and cisbox into the same group, Main aims to build stronger solutions for businesses seeking more efficient processes from purchasing to payment.

The merger with Millum is an important milestone on the path to becoming a leading procure-to-pay platform in Europe. By combining Millum’s first-class e-procurement capabilities with the AP automation platform of cisbox, we are creating a powerful end-to-end solution that enables companies to seamlessly manage all their back-office processes—from procurement to payment. At the same time, this partnership marks a major step in our international expansion, as cisbox already supports customers active in more than 30 markets across Europe and the US.
