Millum and Strawberry enter new Nordic partnership agreement

The Norwegian technology company Millum has signed a new Nordic partnership agreement with the hotel chain Strawberry. The agreement means that the collaboration, which until now has included Norway and Sweden, will be expanded to cover the entire Nordic region. First up is Finland, where hotels will start using the Millum Procurement system – also known as by.Strawberry – from February 2026.

Expanding to 250 Hotels

Strawberry has used Millum as its procurement system since 2007 in Norway and since 2008 in Sweden. The collaboration is now being expanded even further as the entire chain adopts Millum’s platform for purchasing and analysis.

The agreement includes approximately 250 hotels across the Nordic region, and Strawberry alone is expected to account for an estimated 14 % of the total transaction volume processed through Millum’s systems in 2026. In addition to the core Millum Procurement function, the agreement also covers modules such as Menu bank, CO₂ calculator, Stocktaking, invoice services, and the analytics tool Millum Insight.

As part of this expansion, Millum is establishing a subsidiary in Finland with local employees to support the launch. Preparations are already underway.

A Strategic Tool for Strawberry

For us, Millum Procurement – or by.Strawberry, as we call it – is a strategic tool to maintain control, save time, and reduce costs. In addition, it ensures that our hotels make sustainable purchases wherever possible. We look forward to expanding the collaboration across the entire Nordic region. Millum has proven to be a flexible partner, adapting to our needs and integrating well with our other systems.

Platform for Continued Growth

From Millum’s perspective, the agreement is described as a natural extension of the company’s strategy.

Growing into new markets alongside existing customers is a clear part of our strategy. When Strawberry now chooses to expand the collaboration across the Nordics, it’s both a confirmation that they are satisfied with our services – and a platform for further growth. This is a strategically important agreement for us, and it forms a strong foundation for expansion into new countries.

Building Brand Recognition Across the Nordics

Millum’s Marketing Director also highlights the significance of the agreement:

Although we are the largest in our category in the Nordics, we are still focused on increasing awareness of our system. The agreement with Strawberry is an important step in strengthening our brand across the region and demonstrating how our technology can drive more sustainable and efficient hotel experiences.
