Culinary Hotel Awards Comes to Norway – Millum Becomes a Key Partner for the New Hotel Award

After the great success of the first Culinary Hotel Awards in Sweden earlier this year, the prestigious hotel award is now coming to Norway. The award ceremony is organized by the renowned magazine Restaurangvärlden and will take place on October 27 in Oslo, where hotels that excel in food, beverages, quality, and sustainability will be honored. Millum is participating as a partner to highlight and support the development of the Norwegian hotel industry – and to demonstrate how a procurement system tailored to the industry can contribute to increased control, reduced costs, and more sustainable operations.

Millum Aims to Elevate the Norwegian Hotel Industry

As the Nordic region’s largest procurement system for the hotel, restaurant, and staff restaurant sectors, Millum sees the sponsorship as an opportunity to help elevate the Norwegian hotel industry – while also strengthening its position in the domestic market.

Food and beverage experiences have become an important part of Norwegian culture, and this award gives us an opportunity to support players who set the standard for quality and sustainability. We are proud to help highlight the best hotels.

Tiril Zelow Bliksmark

Marketing Director at Millum

Millum consolidates contracts, suppliers, prices, and product selections in one place, offering tools such as menu planning, a stocktaking app, and a CO₂ calculator. This gives hotels and restaurants using the system better control, reduced costs, and a stronger foundation for more sustainable operations. These are precisely the factors that make them better equipped to stand out in an award ceremony like the Culinary Hotel Awards.

As a Norwegian company with in-house developed technology, it’s especially exciting to contribute when the award is being presented in Norway for the first time. We want to show that Norwegian technology can be a driving force for both better restaurant experiences and more sustainable solutions.

Zelow Bliksmark

We are pleased to have Millum with us as we bring the Culinary Hotel Awards to Norway. As a key systemic player in the hotel and restaurant industry, Millum represents the innovation and sustainability focus we want to highlight with the award.

Pär Bergkvist

Founder of the Culinary Hotel Awards

Presenting the Main Award for Food & Beverage

During the gala, awards will be presented in 12 categories. Millum has the honor of presenting one of the most prestigious: the main award for Food & Beverage – a role they also held during the very first Culinary Hotel Awards in Stockholm earlier this year.

Several of the nominated hotels belong to Millum’s own procurement customers Strawberry, Scandic, Nores and NHO Reiseliv Innkjøpskjeden. These include Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri, Bergen Børs Hotel, Clarion Hotel Oslo, Grand Hotel Oslo by ScandicHotel Norge by Scandic, Hotel Victoria, Scandic Nidelven, Scandic Sjølyst, Sommerro and Thon Hotel Lofoten.

It is especially gratifying that out of the ten nominees in the Food & Beverage category, eight are Millum users. We are very proud of that.
