Millum has been around for over 15 years and has extensive experience in procurement and billing systems – but we also have a characteristic that makes us unique and puts the customer in the driving seat. We have extensive, specific knowledge of the food service industry, which means we know what our clients need, whether they’re purchasers or suppliers. Millum is a neutral party that is completely impartial, and only brokers information between purchasers and vendors.

Aiming for the best

In recent years, Millum has been working with KPMG to map out what the best companies do, and what improvements we can make in our own systems. For example we have looked at Basware, Ariba, Coupa and SciQuest to see what distinguishes them, and what the drivers for good procurement are.

We discovered that the most important driver for creating an optimised solution, is that it has to meet needs beyond those of just the purchasing manager. The key to success is to ensure the users are on board. The solution must be easy to understand, and easy to get started with. You should be able to do the same job whether you’re at work or at home. And finally, success depends on whether the user actually uses it or not.

We are continuously working to develop our products to users’ wishes and requirements. The whole sphere of procurement has developed rapidly in recent years, and our developers work every day to improve our solution. We’re soon launching our new e-procurement portal, which we’ve developed alongside selected key customers and business partners. We aim to develop continuously, so that we can make the services we offer the very best on the market.
